Dear Moana Families,
We are so excited for a busy and productive Dress Rehearsal Friday! Thank you in advance for your time, energy, and enthusiasm—it means the world to us and the students.
Please take note of the following important reminders and updates:
- Arrival Time: Plan to arrive 5 minutes before your assigned call time.
- Volunteer Primary Location: Please check your assigned room; that will be your primary space to monitor. You will check in at the front lobby at your designated call time to receive a Moana Volunteer Badge.
- Livestream Access: The rehearsal will be live-streamed into each room so you can follow along with the action in the theatre. You will have a script and a cue chart as well.
- Stay With Your Group: Parent volunteers must always remain with the students they are assigned to.
- If the children are outside the theatre waiting to enter, please remain outside with them.
- If the children are in a holding room, please stay with them in that room.
- When it’s their cue, open the theatre door for them, allow the children to enter first, and close the door behind you.
- Theatre Access: Parents should not sit in the theatre to observe the rehearsal unless specifically assigned to a task by the director, production staff, or the wardrobe department. We kindly ask everyone to respect this rule to keep the space focused and free of distractions.
- Recording Policy: Recording any portion of the rehearsal or performance is strictly prohibited per our licensing agreement with Disney Theatrical.
- Our video license allows for a professional recording, which will be available to all families later.
- Thank you for your understanding and support in honoring these guidelines.
- Mechina through Second Grade Families:
- Please plan to pick up your child’s costume in the gym lobby tomorrow between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM. Your child will be dismissed at the carpool lobby regular time.
- Beginning of Shift: At the start of your shift, we’ll be setting up for the show run. Please help students get into costumes and stay calm and focused until the run begins.
- Please pack your child a water bottle to stay hydrated.
- M-2 Lunch: When M-2 students arrive, please escort them directly to the cafeteria—they’ll receive pizza as they come in.
- 3–8 Lunch: Grades 3–8 will have pizza after their first run (shortly after M-2 finishes).
- Snacks: Thank you to those who reached out with the feedback about students feeling hungry today. We hear you and have adjusted our plans to ensure snacks are in the changing rooms so students can grab a bite when hungry rather than waiting for a designated snack time.
- Costumes at the End of the Day: All M–3 students will take their costumes home at the end of day. 3rd-grade costumes will be sent home with each child.
- Punctuality: While we sincerely appreciate extra help, we kindly ask that everyone arrives and departs on time. This helps us stay on track and transition smoothly to the next phase of our day.
- Reminder: The Director’s Gift and Staff Flowers are due tomorrow. Please show your support and gratitude by donating an amount of your choosing. If you prefer to give in a different way, please Venmo @tmand or email me at tamaramand@gmail.com .
Thank you again for all that you do—we couldn’t pull this off without you!
With gratitude,
The Dress Rehearsal Team
